Caravan preparation week!

Hello everybody!

We come back with news about our third week of work in the field. Work against the clock in order to prepare all the details for tomorrow caravan. We are so excited!

On Monday we travelled to Msitu to present the official document of the realisation of the caravan and its details to the chairmans; además, we started to place the announcements of the caravan in different parts of the community: the dispensary, the dala-dala stop ( tanzanian “bus”)…

On Tuesday it was our last day of home based care visits with the providers of the dispensary. In this case with lightness, we travelled through msitu,  this way Ricardo was able to make small clinical stories of each patient.  We have scheduled next Tuesday  to visit the patients with Dr. Jackson ( Pamoja Tunaweza doctor, ngo which collaborates with us) to give them the definitive diagnostic and the necesary treatment.

On Wednesday, we join in Pamoja, to continue discussing about the caravan ( timetables, salaries, workers…), and we went to the pharmacy to buy the necesary drugs. It was a long day of meetings ¡ On Thursday  we put he spotlight in office work: writting the reports of the patients, emails, updates of the funds...

Today, was a busy day and we had to divide work! Ricardo went to join pamoja’s workers of the caravan. He has been able to meet the team, discuss with them the organization of the different tasks and prepare the drugs

Tariq and I, went to Mistu to make sure that everything was ready for tomorrow, we went to  talk with the dispensary workers, with Verónica to prepare next week work with Dr. Jackson and organising Nina Jali’s girls.

Tomorrow they are going to perform three different seminaries to the caravan patients: they are about diarrea, malaria and breastfeeding. In the afternoon I prepared all the posters for the seminaries.
Tomorrow is going to be a great day, we have been working a lot and we hope everything goes well.

We have made an interview to the blog “Guía Crowdfunding”  in which we explain our work, don’t hesítate in having a look at it and sharing!
