We came back with breaking news about our work in the field in our second week in Moshi and with new airs in our blog !
On Monday, we Travelled to Msitu wa Tembo in order to have a meeting with Véronica and the four providers about the preparation for the home
based care visits.
We reach an agreement so that during this and next week,
each one of the providers will join us
walking throught the community to visit
their usual patients, so we can get an notion of the problems they
suffer from.

MEETING WITH VERÓNICA AND HERMAN |
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Ricardo and Tariq were carrying out part of this visits. They
found patients with different patologies like: HIV, arthritis, and heart
failure. Meanwhile, I stayed at TATU house doing office work: finishing the
announcements for the medical caravan of next week, finishing the chairman's letter, and the last
logistic details with Pamoja Tunaweza ( NGO which collaborates with us).
On Thursday we started to make reports of the patients
that we had visited in the home based care. Once we have
already visited the seven patients with each provider, we will be able to
choose that are going to be visited with Dr Jackson from Pamoja the day of the
outreach, in order to provide them with the definitive diagnosis and the
necesary treatment.
Today, we came back to one of Nina Jali's seminary. We
wanted to comment with the women some aspect of the survey and make a proposition to them: preparing three seminars about primary health care for
the day of the medical caravan. Next Friday, we will visit them again to check
how the have organised among themselves to prepare the activity: topics, groups
of seminary, etc. The day ended with more home based care visits in the community.
This is all for this week,
We will keep you updated of what is going on!
Thank you for following us in the blog and for supporting us
and making donations in the crowdfundign page:
Hugs,
Ricardo and Marina!
